In December of 2023 Chacon graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Studio Art with a focus in painting and drawing from the University of New Mexico. Her work, which is primarily painting, focuses on trying to create a bridge between people. She strives to explore the intricate layers of emotions, thoughts, and experiences that make up the essence of who we are as individuals and as a collective. By bringing together abstract ideas and the human condition, her art seeks to evoke a sense of introspection, understanding, and connection

In 2022 Chacon was awarded the Reggie Behl Drawing Award, and the H. G. Oleson Memorial Scholarship. Chacon has also been awarded the Ada Wester Fine Art Endowment scholarship two times in a row, in 2022 and 2023.
